Valentino Rossi wins Qatar MotoGP as Stoner crashes out

The world champion of the last years, Valentino Rossi, opens the 2010 motogp championship winning the first race in Qatar after Casey Stoner's crash on the fifth lap.

Valentino gained the second place after passing the other Italian rider, Andrea Dovizioso. Then, unexpectedly, Casey Stoner, who was leading the race, crashed out in lap five and Valentino achieved the first place and won some seconds, what gave him advantage. The challenge then was for the second and third place. Jorge Lorenzo, the Spanish rider, improve a lot during the race and obtained the second place in the last laps. Dovizioso was battling with the American Nicky Hayden for the third place. The Italian edged out the American off the podium by just 0.011 seconds right on the finish line.

In my opinion Valentino is the best rider in the last years, he has won 9 grand pix and race after race he surpises us with a new manoeuvre. I hope that this year will win again but I admit that he has difficult rivals like Lorenzo or Stoner. However, he'll do his best like always and he'll show us greats shows.

New case of racist aggression

A Guinean was beaten up by two young men on April 8th in Catellar del Vallès, near to Sabadell. The victim is 44 years old man, and this day he was walking in a square, when two men began insulting him, but he didn't pay any attention to them, and so, the two men began to kick him while he fell down on the ground. Finally, the police, who had been called by some residents, arrived and arrested them. Now, we know that the attackers are members of a neo-Nazi group.

It's just one case to thousands more, and people who do it are very unsociable and they don't deserve it life, because in this world we are all the same. For this reason, I think we have to see the same things that we have, and we don't have to be critical with other people.

Doctors complain of insufficient time to see patients

Catalan doctors at state health centres are overworked nowadays, and they have only five minutes for each patient, that is insufficient for an examination, for this reason doctors've been demanding 10 minutes per patient, but the department of health explain it isn't possible yet, because there is an important population's increment.

In my opinion, I think that our health is the most important thing in this life, and if we go to the hospital it's because we have a "serious" problem and we need to be visited by a doctor. I think that the doctors have to examinate us very well, and they haven't got enough time to do it in five minutes.

Diary Trip!

London'10!

Nowadays, we have a bee in our's bonnet about this trip, because we spend all the time speaking with friends about it. Why are we doing it? Because this has been one of the best trip of our lives!

First of all, when we were going on bus to Girona, we got butterflies in our's stomach, and then, when we arrived at London's airport, we were very happy and really exhausted; for this reason, we would went to the hotel, called "London Royal National Hotel". The next day, we began the tour and we went to visit the British Museum, the Covent Garden, National Gallery, etc. This day was amazing, because we had the first contact with the city, and we found some strange things which we don't have in our country. Another day, we went to visit the Globe theatre, the famous Big Ben, th Hyde Park, the Buckingham Palace,...

Well, you can see that we visited a lot of things, and it is an essencial part, like a little "work" that we had to do; but the best of all was our free time, because we could taste some hot dogs from difference sites, for example.

Apart from that, this travel has served to improve our pronunciation; for this reason, I think that it has been a useful and good travel for us; we could tell it to our grandsons! :)

Hello everybody, my name is Pau Ubric and today I am going to talk you a little bit about my research project, which is called “We learn verbs”.

Firstly I want to explain you the most important objectives that my tutors and I proposed, then I show you the methodology, some decisions to elaborate my own material, the teaching materials, and finally I say you the conclusions I had got with this project.
Before to explain the objectives, I should say that I tried this subject because in a future I would like to study in the world of the education, and for this reason this project will be usefull for me.

Well, how I said, the principal objective of this research project was make a didactic material to learn a second language, but it entails others objectives that are: Learn about the didactic and learning of a second language and observe different materials in two classrooms of reception, for can make my didactic material with some observations.

Here, we can see the methodology that I did, and we observe that first of all I learned a little bit about the didactic of a second language with some observations in differents classrooms of reception and doing some notes about the material that the teacher use.
Then I was reading some books about the learning of a second language, and finally I did the didactic material, that consist in one material photographic and one material TIC, that it is a blog.

When I finished my observations in the classrooms of reception, I put the notes together and I see that there are a lot of children’s material, and there aren’t some material for teenager’s students, for it, I did one that can be usefull for all ages. Then I see that the majority material is about the vocabulary, for this reason I tried do one about verbs.
The students prefer informatics materials and games because are more entertaining

Now I am going to show you the didactic materials that I did. First we see the photographic material, that it consist of hundred photos with their name in other card; it have got one CD where are the 100 verbs to listen.
Then we can see the blog, that it was created for the students that would like to study in his home the most important verbs in Catalan; this blog have the 100 photographies, the pronunciation of the verb and the link that we click, it drive us to other page where are this verb conjugated. Then I do different activities for this students with one programme called “hot potatoes” that let me do a crossword puzzle, the tipical fill in the blanks exercise,... for these students.

Finally I can say that the practical and theoreticians goals have been attained; and that if I had disposed of more time for the realization of the work, I would have extended more.
But I’m happy with the work that I was doing these days.

My opinion about this film is positive, because I think it i s very different to others, because it mix some elements to nowadays with elements to ancient Rome, and for me, it is what makes different.

About the characters I think they do very good own papers, especially Demetrius and Chiron, because they represent the folly youthful, because they love parties, girls, and they are very proud. On the other hand, the character that I don't like so much is the little boy, Julius because he don't do anything in the film, he only see around him.

A moment that I think it is the most shocking is when Marcus saw Lavinia's arm, because she had got branches instead of hands, and she was spitting blood when she spoke, because the two boys had cut her tongue. Another is when Titus killed his son to meet the emperor.

One feature that has been applied by Julie Taymor, excepting the feeling that produce some scenes because they look like a publicity of the TV, is the language, because it is based on Shakespeare, which it's simple but very beautiful.

In conclusion, I think that if you would like understand this film,you should read the Filomela and Progne's myth, which was written by Ovidio.
